I’ve never seen my eyes so green.
Whoever labelled the colour
with jealousy
seems fairly cruel
but probably correct.

The walls are hollow dividers
and not brick at all

A power tool shrieks blue murder
whilst I smother mine red.
together the room is awash
with aubergine.
My mind blushes an
alternative grey.
